History & Mission

First, we called it the Big Green Club (1991-96). Then, it was the Fighting Sioux Club (1996-2012). Today, it is known as the North Dakota Champions Club. Whatever the name, the University of North Dakota Athletics annual giving program has provided 24 years of critical support for scholarship and program funding for our student-athletes.

Membership to the Champions Club has increased every year, and today we have over 2,600 members. As membership has grown, so has UND Athletics’ ability to provide the scholarships and program support vital to recruiting exceptional student-athletes to the University of North Dakota.

Our mission is simple. Together, we will create champions in the classroom, champions in competition and champions in service to the community. Thousands have already answered the call to "be the impact" in this mission. Continued growth will make a real difference in all facets of our mission.
  • Champions in the Classroom
UND student-athletes enjoy record-breaking academic performances each year.
  • Champions in the Community
Our student-athletes get involved with the community in record-setting ways.
  • Champions in Competition
Now a fully transitioned D-I University, UND’s athletics teams are becoming increasingly competitive with nationally recognized athletic programs.
